On November 4th, 2023 we held our first audition for the  RJF Jazz Scholarship to send a student to the UNT Jazz Combo Camp in the summer of 2024.  The winner was Marcos Berrones-Basler, a Junior and clarinetist in the Goddard High School band.  He has a beautiful tone, and a musical player.  Thanks go to Russell Hughes for his coordination, Larry Sydow, Charles Gordon, and Jon Amastae for judging; and to Paula Grieves, Susan Voigt, and Suzanne Hughes for assisting with the first ever RJF audition process.   Marcos attended UNT Jazz Combo camp in the summer of 2024.  More news to be made, coming soon!
